Buurman (Geert Verdickt) is a Flemish songwriter who has built up an extensive portfolio of records and successful theater tours throughout Flanders and the Netherlands since 2008.
In 2021, he engaged in a series of 10 in-depth stories at a campfire revolving around themes that deeply inspire him.
These conversations are captured in podcasts and wonderful lyrics of new songs.
In the summer of 2021, Prof. Jorgen D’Hondt invited him to CERN to be inspired by our curiosity-driven quest to understand the largest and smallest scales in our universe.
Together, they climbed the mountains near CERN to create a campfire overlooking the amazing Geneva valley and they visited CERN.
The fruit of this encounter is a beautiful (Dutch) song “Sterrenkijker” and a podcast episode which are available since the summer of 2022 via this link .
