The CMS Collaboration Board endorsed last Friday the nominations of Steven Lowette (VUB) as Physics coordinator (Level-1 position), Andrea Malara (ULB) as coordinator of the Jet and Missing transverse Energy (JME) Working Group (Level-2 position), and Laurent Thomas (ULB) as coordinator of the Exotic Physics (EXO) Working Group (Level-2 position).
Recently also, Martin Delcourt (VUB) has been approved by the CMS Tracker Institution Board as coordinator of the New Tracker Upgrade Detector Performance Group (Level-2 position).
With these appointments, our colleagues will join the CMS management team for the period September 2026 – August 2028, highlighting the fundamental contributions of the IIHE CMS team and, more broadly, of the Belgian CMS participation.
