Celebrating IceCube’s first decade of discovery

After 5 years of construction, the IceCube Neutrino Observatory was finally
completed at the South Pole in December 2010. 
It had been taking data with a partial configuration already since 2006,
but on May 13th 2011 data taking started with the complete observatory.
To celebrate its first decade of discoveries, an international press release has been issued,
