In the context of the EOS (Excellence Of Science) program in Belgium, the particle physics department of ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) invites applications for postdoctoral research positions within the JUNO Collaboration.
Eligibility: candidates of any nationality, with maximum 5 years of postdoctoral experience, in international mobility . The salary is competitive and includes all social security benefits (information is available on request). The position will remain open until suitable candidate is found. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply before May 20th, 2021, when a first screen of applications will take place.

ABOUT IIHE AND ULB
The particle physics department is part of the Inter-University Institute for High Energies IIHE (ULB-VUB), which combines the experimental particle and astroparticle research groups from both Brussels universities, ULB and VUB. IIHE has more than 80 physicists, engineers and support staff working in large international collaborations such as CMS, JUNO, SoLid, IceCube and Auger experiments. In addition, it has a strong R&D division based on detector development, data acquisition systems, and electronics. The ULB is a renowned university with one of the highest top ranked physics departments in the world.
JUNO is a medium baseline neutrino experi- ment in construction in China. The main goals of the experiment are to determine the neutrino mass hierarchy and to measure several neutrino oscillation parameters with a precision at the sub-percent level. The ULB JUNO group is responsible for the design, test and construction of the backend cards for the electronics readout system. The group is also involved in the simulation of the detector and in the data analysis preparation in view of the data taking expected in 2023.
